Tonight’s #reverb10 prompt is “one word.” There are over 1 million word in the English language. As a writer I have a little bit of a love affair with those words. Choosing one for a whole year was tough, but here it is.
FLUX sums up 2010. Flux means growth, change and transition. The biggest change in 2010 was in my focus. I started the year running from a situation. By June I had found the thing I was running toward. The changes aren’t outwardly visible (yet), but the inner shifts have been seismic. Remember the flux capacitor in Back to the Future? 2010 took me back in time to resurrect a project I started years ago. I couldn’t be more excited to revive it.
2011 is slated to be the year of PIZZAZZ. Pizzazz doesn’t just have 4 Zs. It’s a synonym for vitality and moxie. Pizzazz is about going big or going home. There will be big things happening here next year. Having pizzazz means having the moxie to believe all things are possible.
What words sum up 2010 for you? What do you want as your theme to 2011? Leave a comment to let me know what words make you excited.
If you are a blogger and you haven’t signed up to participate in #reverb10, what are you waiting for? Join me in remembering 2010 and welcoming 2011. I’ll be back tomorrow with the next mystery prompt.
