Tonight, bestselling author and new media marketing conultant Chris Brogan from ChrisBrogan.com and humanbusinessworks.com spoke to the Boston WordPress meetup group . The video of the full event will be up on the Boston WordPress’s site soon. In the meantime, this is a list of 5 bits of advice you can implement immediaelty in your internet marketing campaign:
1.Its OK to repeat blog posts. There are always new people coming to your site.
2. People really lists. Blog posts with lists get more traffic than other types of posts.
3. When you pitch a guest post don’t write an ad for yourself. Consider the audience you want to reach and what they will find useful.
4. Spend time commenting. Comments are a great way to build your community and build your list. If you don’t have time to comment, at minimum take some time to facebook Like and retweet.
5. If you can write a good headline, you can write an good tweet. Mix unexpected ideas in with your strictly business tweets. This helps you reach a new audience.
